Missouri Veterinary Technicians Association
The SCNAVTA at Sanford-Brown College-Fenton, MO has many reasons to “wag their tail.” Since January 2008, the organization has proudly donated over $6000.00 to area animal humane organizations such as St. Louis Stray Rescue, World Bird Sanctuary, St. Louis Support Dogs and several other area humane societies. The student-chapter members’ enthusiastic fund raising efforts include everything from blanket drives, holiday basket raffles to Yankee candle sales. During 2011, SCNAVTA will have an ongoing event, “Dressin’ Down for the Dog’s,” in which all proceeds will be given to St. Louis BARC. BARC is a low-cost spay/neuter group that works with dozens of area veterinarians to reduce the cost of these procedures for low income families.
Our most recent event was a “pink” Valentine pancake breakfast to benefit Mid-America Horse Rescue. The following members (from left to right) were part of the success: Kayla Valentine, Joshua Stemm and Keith Beckermann
